At Digital Teleprompter, we believe your privacy is non-negotiable. Our application is engineered to operate almost entirely client-side inside your browser. Here is exactly how we handle your data:
1. Script Text Data
All script text content you write, paste, edit, or load remains entirely local to your computer. When you save drafts in the drafts manager, they are written to your browser's local storage (`localStorage`). We do not run databases or servers that ingest, process, or store your text.
2. Webcam Loopback Stream
When you toggle on the Webcam Practice Preview, our application requests camera permission only to loop the video stream directly onto the webpage inside your local browser. We do not record, transmit, upload, or analyze any video or audio frames. The webcam stream is isolated client-side and terminates instantly when you close the player.
3. Browser Storage & Cookies
We use standard browser local storage (`localStorage`) to retain your scripts and tool preferences (font size, speed, background opacity, indicator style). You can clear this data at any time by wiping your browser storage or clicking "Delete" on all draft rows.
